Our Roles

Early Years Group Leader

You will be working with our youngest children at camp, typically between the ages of 4 and 6 years old. Campers of this age are incredibly enthusiastic with lots of energy so we need people who can keep up with them. You will ideally have previous work experience, skills or training in this area and hold a childcare qualification.

Group Leader

You will spend all day with your assigned group and develop positive relationships with the children ensuring they have the best experience at camp. You will be responsible for the health, safety and welfare of the children in your group while remaining enthusiastic, full of energy and hard working when delivering activities and during break times.

Specialist Activity Leader

You will deliver our team building, creative and specialist activities at camp. You will work alongside our Group Leaders when managing the children in your care providing the best experience possible for all. You will be enthusiastic, ready to learn and deliver high quality sessions at camp. You will ideally have previous experience, skills or knowledge in the specialist activities we offer.

Arts and Crafts Leader

You will have a keen passion for creating masterpieces by leading our creative sessions at camp using the materials and equipment we provide. You will offer arts and crafts sessions to children of all ages so you will need to ensure that the activities provided are engaging, exciting and age appropriate.

Dance and Drama Leader

You will have a keen interest and passion for the field of performing arts and be ready to deliver high quality sessions to children of all ages. You may be offering a single ‘Glee’ session, working on a week long production or organising a talent show and so you’ll need to be dynamic, organised and enthusiastic.


Some of our camps have a swimming pool and so we look for qualified lifeguards to allow children the opportunity to enjoy a daily swim whilst being supervised by a trained member of staff. Lifeguards must hold a nationally recognised qualification and be fully aware of the NOPs and EAPs, implementing all safety procedures throughout

Camp Manager

You will oversee the running of camp and will have overall responsibility of the children, staff, facilities and equipment. You will be the face of Camp Young and so you will be expected to represent and uphold our company values when dealing with parents/carers and managing your team. You will create an amazing, fun and high quality experience for children and staff as you will be the person that everyone looks to for motivation, support and direction. You must therefore show knowledge and experience in our programme, customer care, diplomacy, financial care and health and safety.

Assistant Camp Manager

You will work alongside the Camp Manager to ensure the camp is running smoothly and assist with day to day management duties. There can be a wide variety of tasks from observing activity sessions, to communicating with parents/carers during busy drop off and collections periods. You will ensure that camp is running efficiently and effectively through staff management, health and safety and safeguarding. In the event that the Camp Manager is unavailable, the Assistant Camp Manager will take temporary control.
